Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in counseling or related area, and two years experience in higher education, including experience in career counseling, academic advising, and financial aid counseling are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer experience in program development, federal education programs, open admission schools, transfer counseling and working with educationally disadvantaged students; supervisory experience; and ability to work with target population. Duties: The Academic Advisor/Life Skills Counselor position is a full-time professional position. The Academic Advisor/Life Skills Counselor will be responsible for student assessment, eligibility, orientation, advisement, counseling, graduation and transfer functions; develop and conduct workshops, maintain transfer resources, and arrange visits to four-year institutions, multicultural training experiences, and cultural events; and provide information for reports and assist in compiling them to demonstrate effectiveness. The Academic Advisor/Life Skills Counselor will represent the program at necessary functions, meetings, and conferences; assist students with enrollment processes in programs and courses during registration periods; administer interest, aptitude, and career related tests as needed; assign mentor/role models for students; and assist in communicating with upper level colleges and universities. This position reports to the Director, Student Support Services/Crisis Referral. This is a grant-funded position.

Salary: $30,000.00 -

Duties: The Administrative Assistant position is a full time career service position. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the students, faculty, and staff of the Allied Health Department, Warrington Campus. The Administrative Assistant will process payroll and personnel documents; maintain, record, and process departmental and college-related forms and reports; provide assistance to staff members, students, and visitors; schedule appointments and meetings; work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations; develop and maintain office files and various correspondence; and perform other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must possess the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and exercise discretion concerning confidential matters. Attention to detail and computer proficiency (spreadsheet management, electronic correspondence, and word processing skills) are essential for success in this position. This position may be required to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, for special projects. The position reports to the District Academic Department Head, Allied Health.

Salary: $21,280.00 ($10.87/hour) -

Duties: The Assistant Department Head, Mathematics and Computer Science position is a 12-month administrative position with an anticipated start date of January 2018, but a different start date may be negotiated. The successful candidate will assist the department head with the administration of the department with duties to include, but not limited to, supervising department faculty and staff, advising student, observing and evaluating faculty, performing curriculum review and development, teaching courses, providing assistance in the hiring of full-time and part-time instructors, assisting with the management of the department budget, and participating in the recruitment and retention of students. Additionally, the Assistant Department Head will help oversee programs in Computer Science and Information Technology and the Math Labs; and perform other duties as assigned. This position reports to the District Academic Department Head, Mathematics and Computer Science.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the college does not generally hire at the top of the range.)

The Benefits Processing Specialist will conduct new hire orientations, receive and process new hire enrollment forms, enter payroll deductions; assist employees with benefit related questions; scan and file benefit and retirement forms; assist with organizing health and wellness fairs, employee recognition programs, health/wellness fairs, benefit vendor fairs and campus visits; and provide employees information pertaining to benefit and/or retirement. This position requires the effective teaching and advising of diverse students, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to the comprehensive state college mission. The instructor will prepare course plans and materials, effectively deliver subject matter content, monitor student attendance and progress, participate on departmental and College committees, participate in curriculum development, support activities that foster retention, participate in the selection of textbooks, perform the assessment of student learning outcomes, and take part in other service and professional development activities. Multiple campus, day, evening, and distance learning teaching assignments are possible. This position reports to the District Academic Department Head, Biological Sciences.

Salary: $34,828.00 - $40,828.00 (Entry level salary is computed and based on authority of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.)

Duties: The Nursing Instructor position is an 11-month, tenure-track faculty position. This position requires effective teaching and advising of diverse students, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to the comprehensive state college mission. Duties: The Payroll Clerk position is a full-time career service position. The Payroll Clerk will assist in the processing of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 900 employees; including, auditing timesheets for accuracy, completion, and compliance with College procedures; enter hours on the time entry screen in the payroll/personnel database; assist with payroll proof processes and makes adjustments and corrections to payroll as needed; distribute time sheets and payroll reports to departments; maintain up-to-date records on stored payroll documentation; and audit temporary agency timesheets as needed. The successful candidate must possess the ability to work efficiently, respond to inquiries from the workforce, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple projects, changing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
