Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Graduation from high school or GED equivalency and two years’ experience as an HVAC mechanic including residential split package units from 1 to 5 tons; documented training and experience in maintenance and repair work; possess a Class II or higher refrigerant recovery certification; ability to read schematic diagrams and blueprints; ability to work from a bucket truck at heights of 30 feet; and a valid driver’s license are required. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Duties: The Maintenance Specialist (HVAC) position is a 12-month full-time career service position. The Maintenance Specialist will participate in a variety of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and boilers tasks, as well as other maintenance duties to insure the operation of equipment. The successful candidate will perform work in accordance to established codes, policies, and procedures; conduct inspections of assigned areas to insure completion of work assignments; estimate material and labor hours; order supplies and materials; maintain appropriate records; and perform preventive maintenance on an established schedule. Additionally, the Maintenance Specialist will be required to operate specialized equipment such as power tools, electrical testing devices, diagnostic equipment, air compressors, and a bucket truck to maintain lighting. This position requires availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed. This position is currently located on the Warrington Campus but may be assigned to other locations. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor (HVAC).

Salary: $21,280.00 ($10.87/hour) -

The Financial Aid/Veteran Services Representative will perform tasks in a high volume customer/student contact environment while demonstrating excellent customer service skills. This position requires availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. This position will be primarily located at the Pensacola Campus but may be assigned to work at various campuses in support of student enrollment at the College. Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Law Enforcement or related field, and four years professional work experience in the field of public safety/law enforcement as an FDLE sworn law enforcement officer are required. Four years of work experience in a supervisory capacity as an FDLE sworn law enforcement officer, along with appropriate certifications and training may be substituted to meet the degree requirement. Must be a currently certified Law Enforcement Officer under standards promulgated by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission. A State Law Enforcement Officer exam and a polygraph and psychological profile examination are required by the agency and FDLE.

The Assistant Director, Public Safety is responsible for assisting the Director/Chief of Police with the implementation of the college’s safety and security program. The Accounting Specialist will supervise and participate in advanced and complex accounting tasks involving the maintenance of financial records and related data; reconcile accounts, post ledgers, maintain journal entries, audit journal entries, prepare check requisitions; and submit regular and specialized accounting reports. Additionally, the Accounting Specialist will coordinate the activities of support staff, monitor work performance for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with established departmental standards; participate in the signing of vouchers and checks, preparation of depository reports, and the retention of appropriate accounting records. Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree.  Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.  Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position.  A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Prefer supervisory experience and direct Title IV program experience.

Duties: The Coordinator, Federal Direct Loans and Default Management position is a full-time professional/managerial position with an anticipated start date of July 2017. The Coordinator will direct and supervise the Federal Direct Loan and Default Management Program; and provide technical assistance in federal aid programs, training and computer automation. Additionally, the Coordinator will develop compliance policies and procedures for Title IV Federal Direct Loans; audit accounts; create departmental training tools; evaluate student/family federal student aid files to determine eligibility for federal aid; exercise professional judgment; represent the College at a various events; and assist in processing a high volume of student financial aid records with expert knowledge. Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following: plan, organize, and coordinate all district-wide, state, and local Federal Direct Loan and Default Management programs; authorize fund disbursements, develop financial aid materials, literature, forms, and outlines to be used for workshops and distributed to students, staff, and public; coordinate updates of automated student aid computer systems; and prepare required federal aid reports. The position requires the availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during registration periods. This position reports to the Director, Financial Aid/Veteran Services. Salary: $25000.00 - $30,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the College does not generally hire at the top of the range.)
