Two Small Pieces of Glass traces the history of the telescope from Galileo’s simple instrument to the magnificent Hubble Space Telescope. Two teenage students attend a local star party and are introduced to wonderful sky objects including the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, and distant spiral galaxies. They learn how telescopes work and how they have continued to expand our understanding of the Universe.
