ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Duties: The Accounting Specialist position is a full-time career service position primarily assigned to the Warrington Campus but may be assigned to work at any of the Cashier’s Offices throughout the district. The Accounting Specialist will participate in advanced and complex accounting tasks involving the maintenance of financial records and related data; reconcile accounts, post ledgers, maintain journal entries, audit journal entries, prepare check requisitions; and submit regular and specialized accounting reports. Additionally, the Accounting Specialist will coordinate the activities of support staff, monitor work performance for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with established departmental standards; participate in the signing of vouchers and checks, preparation of depository reports, and the retention of appropriate accounting records. This position may be required to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, during peak registration periods. This position reports to the Bursar.

Salary: $26,500.00 ($13.54/hour) -

ART HISTORY INSTRUCTOR

Duties: The Art History Instructor position is a 9-month, tenure-track track faculty position with an anticipated start date of August 2019. The successful candidate will teach survey courses in art history and humanities art as assigned. This position requires effective teaching and advising of diverse students, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to the comprehensive state college mission. The instructor will prepare course plans and materials, effectively deliver subject matter content, monitor student attendance and progress, participate on departmental and College committees, participate in curriculum development, support activities that foster retention, participate in the selection of textbooks, assess student learning outcomes, and take part in other service and professional development activities. Multiple campus, day, evening, and distance learning teaching assignments are possible. This position reports to the Department Head, Visual Arts.

Salary: $35,880.00 - $41,880.00 for a 9-month contract with a master’s degree.

Duties: The Assistant Department Head, Natural Sciences position is a 12-month administrative position with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2019, but a different start date may be negotiated. The successful candidate will assist the department head with the administration of the department with duties to include, but not limited to, supervising department faculty and staff, advising students, observing and evaluating faculty, performing curriculum review and development, teaching courses, providing assistance in the recommendation of full-time and part-time instructors, assisting with the management of the department budget, and participating in the recruitment and retention of students. Additionally, the Assistant Department Head will assist with oversight of programs in the Natural Sciences Department and perform other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Department Head, Natural Sciences.

Salary: $41,000.00 - $55,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable.)

Duties: The Assistant Manager, Program Operations, WSRE position is a full-time professional/managerial position. The Assistant Manager, Program Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the traffic department overseeing the receiving, storage, distribution, preparation, and broadcasting of all WSRE programs, execute day-to-day traffic and traffic-related programming processes, both technical and procedural, prepare weekly on-air promotions Excel document and produces promotional announcements utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud software, collaborate with Marketing Department and programming service staff to determine promotion priorities, and monitor on-air performance of all WSRE digital channels and notes discrepancies from scheduled programming. Additionally, the successful candidate will prepare, process, adjust, and append the daily logs/play-lists, insert interstitial material for WSRE’s multiple digital channels, and schedule, create and prepare promotional announcements and development spots for broadcast on WSRE and/or streaming on WSRE.org. The College Police Officer will perform a variety of duties in the carrying out of law enforcement, security, and safety operations involved with the protection of life and property, prevention of crime, and rendering of services; patrol campus, regulate pedestrian and vehicular traffic, write detailed reports, and provide escorts for individual’s on campus and transport currency. The College Police Officer will be assigned on any of the Pensacola State College campuses or locations, requires availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and may perform dispatcher duties as needed. The successful candidate will be enrolled into the FRS Special Risk Class, and eligible for education incentive under F.S. 943.17. The Completion Advisor will be responsible for managing and performing complex tasks related to program completion, graduation activities, external credit processing, and military records. Additionally, the Completion Advisor will work closely with the College Registrar and other College personnel to ensure timely and accurate review and processing of records, supervise staff who evaluate transcripts and review external credits, verify and process recognitions of all educational accolades and honors for transcripts and diplomas, collaborate with appropriate College staff to ensure appropriate industry certifications and licenses are recorded for program completion purposes, respond to inquiries regarding graduation eligibility and the graduation process, provide information to College departments as well as students, and serve as liaison with appropriate College personnel to coordinate the establishment, retention, and dissemination of records information. In addition, he or she will collaborate with department heads to develop course schedules; participate in program recruiting campaigns as assigned; provide admissions, financial aid, career planning, and academic advising to students and prospective students; participate in retention and completion efforts; and implement student success initiatives as determined by the College. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with appropriate public officials and representatives from the private sector and civic and non-profit groups in the assigned service area to promote the College’s programs and policies; represent the College at local civic and community organizations on relevant educational matters; coordinate care, maintenance, renovation, and construction of Center facilities in conjunction with appropriate College staff and administration; and provide support and serve as the point of contact for faculty and staff assigned to the Center. Duties: The Senior Executive Assistant position is a full-time career service position. Additionally, the Social Media Specialist will oversee processes to monitor, analyze and respond to commentary on all social media sites and online communities on an ongoing basis; plan and implement promotional social media sites and online communities on ongoing basis; plan and implement promotional social media events/contests, related to major College events and seek engagement opportunities for key audiences; keep current and report on trends in social media, digital content, and emerging technologies; and actively participate on social media platforms. The successful candidate must use creative and analytical skills, work with a team, and self-manage projects. May be required to work evenings and weekends. This position reports to the Executive Director, Marketing and Communications.
