Descendent of ‘Mr. Yam’ rises to new challenges as PSC department head

For the last few years Mitzie Sowell has served as associate professor of natural sciences ─ teaching anatomy and physiology, microbiology and introduction to biology at the college’s South Santa Rosa Center.

Pensacola State College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate degrees and associate degrees. Pensacola State College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
