As a PSC employee, you’ll use Workday to find student information, edit your personal information, and complete tasks based on your role at the College.
Workday is a full suite of software products for human capital management, payroll, finance, and student (recruitment, admissions, academics & curriculum, registration, student records, and financial aid). Workday corporate customers include Adobe, Bank of America, Denny’s, Johnson & Johnson, NetFlix, LinkedIn, Rolls-Royce, Sony, Toyota, Visa, and Warner Music Group.
Workday allows employees to manage:
- Student academic plans, progress, registration, and academic requirements.
- Business processes.
- Student holds.
- HR-related tasks and more!
In Workday, what one person can see and do depends on their job role and security. If you need access to a specific Workday action, report, or task related to your job responsibilities, search for Create Request in Workday and select Request for Security. Complete all fields. These may be submitted for yourself or on behalf of someone else. Your request will route for approval, or you’ll be contacted for additional information. You’ll receive notification of the approval in your inbox.

Grant Workday permission on the mobile app to send push notifications when first prompted during sign-in.
Push notifications are automated banner style messages sent when your Workday app isn’t open but keeps you informed.
If you’ve already logged in and want to confirm your settings, click your profile picture or person icon in the Workday app on your device. Select Push Notifications to enable Push Notifications.
To confirm you have a mobile number on your account, select your profile picture or person icon to view your profile. Click the ellipsis icon in the top right-hand corner. Select Personal Data. Select Change My Home Contact Information and confirm you have a mobile number listed. If not, click the pencil icon and update.
Lastly, you’ll need to confirm your notification settings on your device.
Go to view Settings. Tap Notifications. Click all apps and enable notifications for Workday, or if Workday is under Most Recent, confirm notifications are enabled.
Go to Settings and click Workday. Select Notifications. Make sure Allow Notifications is turned on.
WHO WILL USE WORKDAY STUDENT?
Students, faculty, and staff will use Workday Student.
WHAT FUNCTIONS WILL FACULTY AND STAFF HAVE IN WORKDAY STUDENT?
Workday Student helps faculty and staff*:

- Drop, Swap, and Withdrawal courses for students.
- View class rosters.
- Enter and change grades.
- Award Financial Aid and Scholarships.
- Auto package Financial Aid.
- Verify student participation.
- View and approve academic plans.

- Monitor students’ progress toward degree completion.
HOW DO I ACCESS WORKDAY STUDENT?
Workday Student is the same as your HCM and Payroll Workday app. Visit MyPSC, log in, and click the Workday icon on the homepage.

HOW WILL UPDATES BE COMMUNICATED?
We will share updates via PIRATEMAIL/Outlook email, but most of the content is on https://www.pensacolastate.edu/workday or delivered as announcements in Workday.
WILL WORKDAY WORK WITH ANY INTERNET BROWSER?
Yes. Any browser will work to access Workday (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.).
IS WORKDAY DIGITALLY ACCESSIBLE?
Yes. Workday has embraced Section 508 compliance standards across their applications within a single, unified web experience. To improve visual navigation, Workday strengthened the contrast between background and text. They also improved keyboard navigation shortcuts.
