The college’s 2026 Homecoming Court was presented between games on Wednesday
As part of a week-long celebration of school spirit, the Pensacola State College Homecoming Court for 2026 was presented between basketball games on Wednesday, Feb. 18. Lindsey Sheets and Troy Mims were crowned as Homecoming Queen and King by PSC President Ed Meadows.
Sheets, a radiography major, says she values the sense of community on campus. Mims is majoring in criminal justice with plans to transfer to the University of West Florida after earning his associate degree. He says he appreciates the support he receives from the college.
Other members of this year’s Homecoming Court: Tyra Purifoy, a cybersecurity major; Allison Walton, a radiography and biology major; Sara Lyn Phillips, a physical therapy assistant major; Priscilla Coatney, a biology major with plans to enroll in the PSC Dental Hygiene program; Luis Perez Flores, a cybersecurity major with a minor in culinary arts; and Ben Word, a photography major with plans for a career in creative marketing.
Tailgate activities, sponsored in part by the PSC Alumni Association, preceded the Homecoming Games, in which Women’s Basketball was victorious 67-55 over Tallahassee State College, while Men’s Basketball fell in a 78-76 overtime thriller to TSC.
The Pirates’ game night highlighted a weeklong Homecoming celebration, including cookouts, a scavenger hunt, a students vs. staff basketball game, breakfast buffets and pizza parties for students on all PSC campuses and centers.
