The program for Tribal Tales is a dive into the music and stories of Native American oral histories. The arrangements will include songs of various tribes such as the Cherokee Morning Song “Wendeyaho”, “Ikwass (We Sing)” and “Woue no Yianne (Song of Rejoicing)” from the Iroquois nation, and will recount the legends of Sauk Taum and Ostenaco. The Wind Ensemble entertains during the concert’s first half, with the Jazz Ensemble taking the stage after intermission. Wind & Jazz Ensembles concerts are free and open to the public.
