Lindsey Sheets

Lindsey is a radiography major. Her favorite thing about being a PSC Pirate is the community. She wants to be the 2026 Homecoming Queen because she thought it would be fun. Lindsay loves to visit all the local thrift stores in Pensacola.  

Tyra Purifoy

Tyra is a Cybersecurity major who plans to work for a Fortune 500 company after graduating from PSC. Her favorite thing about being a PSC Pirate is being able to earn a degree at an affordable price where even if you don’t qualify for financial aid, you can still get scholarships. Tyra also loves that PSC has professors who challenge students to be great. Tyra wants to be the 2026 PSC Homecoming Queen because it is every girl’s dream to be a queen one day, so why not be one at the college you attend. In Pensacola, she loves going to different events and restaurants with her son and husband.  

Allison Walton

Allison is a Radiography and Biology major who wants to work in a hospital as a Radiologic Technologist after graduating from PSC. Her favorite thing about Pensacola State is the abundance of help it provides to students with resources like the math and writing labs. Allison wants to be the 2026 Homecoming Queen because it will allow her to meet new people and make new friends that will hopefully last a long time. Her favorite thing to do in Pensacola is visiting the Front Porch antique shop and browsing their collection of vintage vinyls 

Sara Lyn Phillips

Sara Lyn is a Physical Therapist Assistant major who plans on working with the older adult community through functional medicine after she graduates. Her favorite thing about being a PSC Pirate is the sense of community, especially within her cohort as they are a wonderful group who is so supportive of each other. Sara Lyn would like to be the 2026 Homecoming Queen to represent the college student who is not of the “normal age” to show others that it is never too late to achieve your dreams and that your age should never define you or slow you down. Her favorite thing to do in Pensacola is going to the beach and watching the Blue Angels practice with her husband and children.  

Mariah Blackshear

Mariah is currently pursuing an AA degree for pre-nursing and plans to get an RN degree. Her favorite thing about PSC is the easy enrollment process and all the resources that are available for students. Mariah wants to be the 2026 PSC Homecoming Queen to show people that anyone can be a queen, it doesn’t matter their age, size, or ethnicity. Mariah’s favorite thing to do in Pensacola is go to the beach and to Flonders right after 

Kathrine Baker

Katherine is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and plans to graduate in August 2027. Her favorite thing about being a PSC Pirate is the strong sense of support and camaraderie. Katherinwould like to be the 2026 PSC Homecoming Queen to connect with individuals in different groups and assist in breaking down social barriers to promote inclusivity and fostering a sense of unity among students and alumni.  When she is not at school or working as a Prediatric Homecare LPN, she enjoys spending time with her 6 kids and husband at the beach and local rivers.

Priscilla is a biology major who plans on attending the Dental Hygiene program at PSC after finishing her degree. Her favorite things about being a PSC Pirate is getting to experience such a diverse campus. Every class she has attended is full of different cultures and all types of people. She believes this has not only made her college experience exciting, but this has also prepared her for the workforce. Priscilla would like to be the 2026 Homecoming Queen because she lovePSC and its values, and feels that PSC is a second home to herPSC has played a huge role in this chapter of her life, and she wouldn't be who she is today without it.  For fun in Pensacola, she likes getting açai bowls on the beach with her best friends, eating a nice dinner at the district downtown, and going to watch Wahoo’s play.

Luis is a cybersecurity major with a minor in culinary arts. He hopes to help others by working in cybersecurity to ensure everyone is protected and help those who have been hurt through cyberattacks. Cooking is a fun thing he enjoys doing on the side and hopes to open his own restaurant. His favorite thing about being a Pirate is being a part of the Veterans and Military Family Service Center as a work study by having the opportunity to help other veteran Pirates utilize their VA benefits. He feels that becoming the homecoming king will be a blessing. In the Marine Corps, he was a leader and led his Marines by example, and he feels that being the homecoming king for PSC will give him the opportunity to lead by example and show that the sky is the limit. In Pensacola, Luis enjoys going bike riding, going to the gym, going out with friends, and playing with his puppies at the dog park. He also enjoys cooking and swimming.  

Ben Word

Ben is a Photography major who plans to work in creative marketing for big brands when he graduates. His favorite thing about being a PSC Pirate is all the valuable connections he has made. Ben wants to be the 2026 Homecoming King to have the opportunity to represent PSC in a positive way. In Pensacola, he enjoys going on trail hikes and rock climbing at Weatherford’s.
