Michael Johnston, Associate Vice President, Institutional Research and Enterprise Solutions at Pensacola State College, has been invited by the Association of Institutional Research to serve a two-year appointment on the AIR Data Policy Advisory Panel.
The AIR is a global organization for higher education professionals who use data, analytics and research to help colleges and universities make informed decisions, plan strategically and improve student success, supporting its members through professional development, research dissemination and networking opportunities.
The Data Policy Advisory Panel serves as a sounding board on federal and state policy developments and helps ensure practitioner perspectives are elevated in national conversations about postsecondary education data. The panel is made up of 25 to 30 members with representation across professional roles, education sectors and institution types.
As a panel member, Johnston will provide guidance to inform the AIR’s policy and advocacy work.
“The AIR supports data-informed decisions that strengthen student and institutional success,” said Johnston. “I am extremely excited about the opportunity to represent PSC in the higher education data ecosystem.”
