Fund Raising powerhouse, Michelle Buchanan, to share expertise through PSC’s Nonprofit Center

Michelle Buchanan, a principal partner with Dini Spheris consulting company, will share her expertise on successful fund raising practices at two workshops offered through Pensacola State College’s (PSC’s) new Nonprofit Center for Excellence and Philanthropy program.

Buchanan will train nonprofit board members and local professionals on the tools they can utilize to raise the resources their nonprofits need to meet their missions—tools used by her clients to raise hundreds of millions.

PSC, Habitat for Humanity to present ‘Artistically Repurposed’

Pensacola State College and Pensacola Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore have partnered for the third year to present the “Artistically Repurposed” art exhibition and auction.

PSC students win 27 gold, 29 silver Pensacola ADDYs gala

Pensacola State College visual arts students won 58 awards at the AAF Pensacola 2019 American Advertising Awards Gala held Feb. 16 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach.

Pensacola State students earned 27 gold and 29 silver ADDYs, a Student Judges Choice and a Best of Show awards.

In the professional division, Pensacola State Marketing Department graphic designers won three silver ADDYs.

Award-winning guitarist Tengyue Zhang to perform at PSC on April 12

The Pensacola State College Guitar Association will present Tengyue Zhang, grand prize winner of the 2017 Guitar Foundation of America’s International Concert Artist Competition, in concert on Friday, April 12.

The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. in Ashmore Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus at 1000 College Blvd.

Pensacola State invites public to ‘An Evening in Paris’ on April 5

The Pensacola State College Performing Arts Crew will host “An Evening in Paris” on Friday, April 5, at Pensacola State College.

The gala is set for 7:30-10 p.m. in the lobby of Ashmore Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus at 1000 College Blvd.

Alice Notley shares poetry on April 5 at Pensacola State

Alice Notley, one of America’s greatest living poets will speak on Friday, April 5, at Pensacola State College.

The event is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, Building 15, on the Pensacola campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

Pensacola State to host statewide SkillsUSA conference April 7-9

More than 1,600 student-members will compete in the 2019 SkillsUSA Florida State Leadership and Skills Conference set for April 7-9 in Pensacola.

Hosted by Pensacola State College, the conference along with the Worlds of Possibilities Career Expo will be held at the Pensacola Bay Center. The event ─ the largest in the SkillsUSA Florida program history ─ is expected to attract more than 6,000 visitors to the area and have a $4.5 million impact on the economy.
