Introduction to the Cable Technician Certificate (CCC) Program
The Cable Installation technical certificate provides students with the practical skills necessary for employment as a cable installer, cable tester, cable technician, or to provide supplemental training to persons currently employed in the field. The program is composed of selected college credit courses offered within the Telecommunications Technology Associate in Science degree. If desired, successfully completed coursework within the technical certificate can be transferred into an appropriate AS program. The program prepares the student with a basic knowledge of voice and data cabling and prepares them for BICISI Level I Installer Certification.
This certificate assumes the student has a basic knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware and software.
These credits may be applied towards the Electronics Engineering Technology or Computer Information Technology AS degree programs.

If desired, successfully completed coursework within the technical certificate can be transferred into an appropriate Pensacola State College A.S. degree program in Electronics Engineering Technology, Networking Services Technology, or Telecommunications Engineering Technology
