Rituals
This photographic exhibition contains approximately 50 large colorful photographs captured from eclectic festivals & events scattered within the United States. As Associate Professor of photography, Francis was supported with the endowment to pursue this project for three years, resulting in enhanced personal and professional achievements and positive benefits for the classroom.

Karen Glaser - Switzer Distinguished Artist
The Mark of Water: Florida’s Springs and Swamps
For more than two decades Karen Glaser has documented amazing worlds beneath the surface of water. Her photography for this exhibition was made “inside” Florida’s springs, swamps and waterways and it provides a unique interpretation of these distinctive environments. Her color images are not mere documents of Florida’s underwater wonderlands; they convey the mystery and primal power of this alien environment in a unique and personal view, one that is unfamiliar, alluring and visceral.

Art Student Honors Exhibition
Annual exhibition of student work created in the studios of the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts. Student work is faculty selected, representing the finest examples of ceramics, drawings, digital imaging, graphic design, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture and video. Scholarships and awards are presented during the reception honoring student achievement.

Roland Miller
Dual Exhibition: Abandoned in Place and Constellation Rising
This dual exhibition of photographic images relates to the history of the American space program showing simultaneously at the Anna Lamar Switzer Gallery and the National Naval Aviation Museum. At the Switzer Gallery, Abandoned in Place explores the deactivation and repurposing of space launch and research facilities around the US. Showing at the Aviation Museum, Constellation Rising is a visual examination of the end of the Space Shuttle Program.

Len Davis
A Thousand Words
Los Angeles based artist, Davis uses his background in graphic design to create works on paper using an array of found materials and objects to complete his drawings. A Thousand Words in an exhibition of 100 such drawings incorporating faces to illustrate the fact that a picture is worth a thousand words.

The Visual Arts Gallery is in the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, located on the corner of 9th Avenue and Airport Boulevard, Building 15, Pensacola campus.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays.
Tours are available with prior arrangements.
