General Equivalency Diploma (GED CBT)

The GED test on computer is now available at Pensacola State College and students are experiencing a better way to move towards their goals.  They are completing the computer-based GED much faster and with a greater rate of success!  You can too!



Important news about the paper/pencil version of the GED Test!

From the Florida Department of Education website:www.ged.fldoe.org

“GED Testing Service® is releasing a new version of the GED® Test on January 1, 2014. Individuals who have tested on the current 2002 GED® Test Series must complete the exam series by December 2013. Scores from the 2002 Series Will Not be combined with scores for the new assessment. Candidates who do not complete the current series will have to meet the requirements of the new test, starting January 1, 2014.”

 

Benefits

The computer-based GED test allows students to:

  • Register and schedule the test online from the comforts of home;
  • Finish one section at a time and move on; set your own pace;
  • Type the essay (versus hand-write the essay);
  • See instant (unofficial) results on four of five sections

(the writing results will take a bit longer).

Fees: $130   ($26 per test)


GED Eligibility Requirements

GED applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Florida resident.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Not currently enrolled in high school.
  • Did not graduate from an accredited high school.
