General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Adults who pass the GED Test in Florida are awarded a State of Florida High School Diploma.  A high school diploma enables adults to obtain jobs or advancement, enroll in higher education, or pursue technical training.

GED Eligibility Requirements

GED eligibility requirements are:

  • Be at least 18 years old (see note).
  • Not currently enrolled in high school.
  • Did not graduate from an accredited high school.

Fees: $70

GED Test Scores:

The GED test has five parts: writing, math, science, social studies, and reading.

To pass, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Score at leaset 410 points of each subject
  • And
  • Have a totle score of 2,250 or highter

The maximum score possible is 800 points on each sub-test and 4,000 points total.
