PERT Re-Test Policy
- After a student has taken the P.E.R.T., he or she must wait a minimum of 30 days before attempting to re-test.
- A student may not re-take a PERT sub-test in math, reading, or writing while he or she is enrolled in a developmental course in the same subject area.
- A student who has earned an “N” (no credit) or a “W” (withdrawn) in a developmental course must remediate in the appropriate academic lab (Math Lab, Reading Lab, Writing Lab) before he or she can re-take portions of the P.E.R.T.
- A student who has earned a passing grade (A, B, or C) in a developmental course does not need to remediate before re-testing.
NOTE: There is a $10 fee to retest on the PERT if the student still has active PERT scores on file with Pensacola State College.
