TABE

The TABE is a national skill assessment exam for all adult learners enrolled in certificate programs.  The TABE measures reading, mathematics, and language skills, and is used to place learners in classes which will help sharpen their skills where students demonstrated a weakness.  The TABE is conducted before enrollment or in the first six weeks of enrollment at district campus sites.  Student are required to improve skill levels in mathematics or communications before completion of the vocational program in which they enrolled. 

The TABE is also used to assess academic skills for students applying to the Pensacola State College Collegiate High School program.

Pensacola State College will also administer the TABE to students for other colleges.
