Matthew Fossa teaches Oboe, Music
Theory and Music Appreciation. He received his bachelor of music
from Crane School of Music, Potsdam, N.Y. and his master of music
from Florida State University. In addition, he is Principal Oboist
of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and the Choral Society of Pensacola.
He has also played as a member of the Mobile, Tallahassee and Albany
(Georgia) Symphonies as well as the Orchestra of Northern New York.
His recent solo performances include an appearance with the Pensacola
Symphony in October of 2003 and a recital with violinist Leonid
Yanovskiy and keyboardist Kenneth Karadin in February 2003. An active
composer as well, Fossa has composed numerous works ranging from
solo instrumental pieces to compositions for full band and orchestra.
His own publishing label, "Twin Reeds Productions", and R.M. Williams Company, publish him.
