Simulation Center Offers Nurses Continuing Ed
8/14/2007 Pensacola Junior College now offers continuing education courses for nurses at its Center for Patient Simulation Training & Research on the Warrington campus.
The three two-hour courses focus on pulmonary/heart conditions and involve high-tech scenarios designed to provide nurses hands-on experience in caring for patients with designated problems. Emphasis is on assessment, collaboration with members of the healthcare team and clinical decision making. Students review their work by watching video clips of their performance and participate in open discussions led by a facilitator.
The courses are open to advanced registered nurse practitioners, registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
Cost is $50 per class. Register at any PJC campus.
