Senior Citizens: Time to Fight Crime
5/8/2007 May 8, 2007

We continuously see it on TV and in newspapers – stories about crime aimed at senior citizens.

The solution?

Seniors can stop being targets by becoming more perceptive and informed.

Register now for the new Pensacola Junior College course “Savvy Seniors.” The Continuing Education offering is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the Milton campus. Cost is $20 per student.

“Savvy Seniors” is designed to educate seniors about pertinent crime and prevention issues. Students learn how to be more aware of their surroundings and how to protect themselves. Topics include financial exploitation, seniors and HIV, scams and fraud, identity theft, etc.

Register at any PJC campus or go to www.pjc.edu/ContinuingEducation.

The Milton campus is at U.S. Highway 90 and Avalon Boulevard.
