20,000 Teachers Needed Now!
4/30/2007 Pensacola Junior College offers Educator Preparation Institutes orientations at its Pensacola, Warrington and Milton campuses.

Florida currently needs 20,000 additional teachers to meet student demand.

EPIs provide professional development for teachers for classroom improvement and for recertification purposes, training for substitute teachers, paraprofessional instruction and competency-based instruction for bachelor’s degree holders leading to temporary and full teacher certification.

PJC offers the state-approved competency-based Alternative Certification Program for people who already hold non-education bachelors’ degrees.

If you are interested in the certification program, attend one of the Q&A sessions scheduled for 6 p.m. at all locations:

• Monday, May 14, Milton campus, Building 4900, Room 4902.
• Wednesday, May 16, Pensacola campus, Building 2100, Room 2142.
• Monday, May 21, Warrington campus, Building 3700, Room 3729.
