PJC After-School Classes
8/9/2005 If you need a safe and fun place for your children following regular school hours, Pensacola Junior College’s Milton campus offers several classes in its “After School” program. All classes take place at Milton High School, 5545 Stewart St., and cost $65 per student.

Dance After School, Grades 6 and Up
3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 6-Nov. 29. Deadline: Aug. 23. A combination of ballet and jazz. Ballet is the discipline for all dance types, developing poise and grace along with ballet barre, progression and center work. Jazz is a contemporary dance style combing high-energy choreography and techniques. The last class is a performance. Proper class attire, solid-color leotard, pink tights, and ballet shoes required.

Computers After School, Grades 6 and Up
3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 7-Dec. 7. Deadline: Aug. 24. Projects include the creation of your very own Web page to the production of a video presentation. How cool is this?

Art After School, Grades 6 and Up
3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 8-Dec. 8. Deadline: Aug. 25. Young artist, grades 6 and up, develop skills in this well-rounded art course. Students develop basic drawing skills, painting, printmaking, and three-dimensional art.

Study Skills After School, Grades 6 and Up
3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 12-Dec. 5. Deadline: Aug. 29. Struggling with writing skills such as research papers and other formal writing assignments? Have trouble studying for tests and taking tests? Sharpen skills in writing, research, studying and test taking.
