Auditions Set for "Proposals" at PJC
4/1/2005 Auditions for Pensacola Junior College’s production of “Proposals” will be held on Monday and Tuesday, April 11-12, at 7 p.m. in the Ashmore Auditorium. Eight roles are available for men and women, ages 20-50.

Guest artist Jacqueline Roberts has been cast in the lead role of Clemma Diggins. Roberts also starred as Mama in the 1993 PJC production of “A Raisin in the Sun.”

A charmingly nostalgic memory play, Neil Simon’s “Proposals” recalls the summer of 1953 and the last time the Hines family gathered at their retreat in the Poconos. It is a summer of romantic entanglements which intertwine in the nine characters’ lives one idyllic afternoon.

The performances for “Proposals” will be Fridays and Saturdays,
May 20 - 21 and May 27 - 28, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays, May 22 and 29, at 2:30 p.m.
