|Minimum Qualifications:||MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a regionally-accredited institution with a master’s degree in Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Technology, or a closely-related field. Successful results of a criminal background check are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer recent industry experience; current CISCO CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification and willingness to obtain the CISCO CCNA Instructor certification; CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate; and progress, at a regionally-accredited institution, toward a doctorate in Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Technology or a closely-related field. |Duties:||The Information Technology Instructor position is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position with an anticipated start date of August 2014, though the start date may be negotiated. The successful candidate will teach courses in Information Assurance, Information Security, and Information Technology, as assigned. This faculty position requires effective teaching and advising of diverse students; excellent oral and written communication skills; and a demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive state college mission. The instructor will participate on departmental and College committees, participate in curriculum development, assist with course coordination, participate in the selection of textbooks, perform assessments of student learning outcomes, support activities that foster retention, and take part in other service and professional development activities. The teaching assignments may include day and evening courses on multiple campuses as well as distance learning courses. This position reports to the Director, Applied Technology and Professional Services.|
|Salary:||$34,828.00 - $40,828.00 (Entry level salary is computed and based on authority of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.)|
