All offices, activities and functions of Pensacola State College will remain OPEN for regularly scheduled hours this weekend.

According to predications from the National Hurricane Center at 7:00 am CDT this morning, there is rainfall of less than 2 inches anticipated in our service area between now and Monday.  There is also less than a 30% chance that wind speeds will reach tropical storm force of 39 MPH and no prediction that wind speeds will reach 58 MPH.  For reference, tropical storm force wind speeds are between 39 MPH and 73 MPH.

Any event that would normally be cancelled due to rain, such as baseball practice, may be cancelled.  Activities that would normally occur rain or shine will remain scheduled as usual.  As always, we advise everyone to exercise caution when driving in rainy weather.

We will continue to monitor the weather, and if there is a change in plans we will notify everyone via PSC Alert and by posting on the home page of our website at www.pensacolastate.edu.
