Pensacola State College offers swim lessons for adults and children.¬† All ages can learn to swim.¬† Every child should have some ability to swim.¬†
¬†¬†¬†¬† Adult Swim Lessons
This class is for adults who want to learn to swim, improve existing aquatic skills and enjoy the health benefits of a swimming program.¬† The classes are from 7:30pm to 8:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursday nights for 10 sessions.¬† The student may use the pool during Recreation Swim time and practice swimming, too.
Mommy and Me Swim Lessons
(Ages 6 months to 4 years)
Children will attend with mom, dad, or other adult and begin to learn to swim and feel comfortable in the water. The more a child gets in the water and enjoys their experience the easier it is for them to learn to swim.¬† This class lasts one hour for 10 sessions, from 11am to 11:55am, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.¬† The adult and child may come to Recreation Swim time and use the pool as well.
Individual Swim Lessons
Students will receive one-on-one coaching and instruction, depending on the needs of the individual to reach their goals.¬† This class is for all ages and lasts for ten sessions at a time that is agreed on by the instructor and the student.¬† After the class, the student may use the pool during Recreation Swim time to practice.
During the summer semester Pensacola State College offers a program called Kids College for 6 year old to 12 year old boys and girls to enjoy learning a variety of skills.¬† One of the skills is a swimming class.¬† Girls and boys attend Monday through Friday for one and two week sessions and have fun in the water, and learn to swim, or improve their swimming strokes.
¬†¬† Preschool Swim Lessons
(Ages 3 years old to 6 years old)
Preschool swim lessons are offered during summer semester.¬† The classes are from 11am to 11:55am and last for 10 sessions.¬†
