Students who have completed an associate’s degree or at least 60 credits of previous college coursework from a regionally accredited institution and wish to continue their education at the baccalaureate level

Admissions Checklist for Bachelor Degree Seeking Students

1. Apply for admission

  • Complete the college application online or submit an application to any campus location.
  • For more information on residency guidelines and a list of acceptable documentation, click here.
  • Pay the $30 application fee; returning PSC baccalaureate students are exempt.
  • Applicants who provide an email address when applying online to PSC will receive an immediate email from the College. Once the application fee is paid (online, mail, or in-person), you will receive an acceptance letter.

2. Activate your Spyglass and Pirate Mail

  • Login to your Spyglass account to access your student records, register and pay for classes, check your financial aid status, and more.
  • Pirate Mail is the official method of communication used by college administration and faculty and it is your responsibility to check your college email regularly.

3. Submit transcripts

  • Submit official high school transcripts or GED (The Admissions/Records Office will request high school transcripts for students who graduated from a Florida public high school.)
  • Submit current official college transcripts are required from each previously attended institution with a documented earned associate degree or earned credit in no less than 60 semester hours from regionally accredited institutions.
  • BSN applicants must have earned an associate degree in nursing or a nursing diploma from a regionally accredited institution or a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Admission will not be finalized and financial aid will not be awarded until all transcripts are evaluated.

5. Submit test scores or prior coursework

  • Grades of “C” or better in general education English and mathematics are required for students enrolling in a baccalaureate program.
  • Completion of entry-level placement testing is required for students who do not have prior coursework in English/Math, current test scores, or cannot show proof of exemption.
  • Applicants whose test scores indicate a need for remediation will not be admitted in to the baccalaureate program until successful completion of coursework.

6. Additional admission requirements

  • BSN applicants must provide a copy of a current unencumbered nursing license to the Baccalaureate Admission Specialist.
  • Once all transcripts are evaluated and degree has been confirmed, BAS and BSN applicants will be admitted to their respective baccalaureate programs with a status of BAS or BSN.

 

7. Register for classes

  • Upon receipt of acceptance notification, please contact the BAS/BSN Concentration Advisor for your program of study for assistance with degree planning and class selection. Visit the BAS/BSN website for more information.
  • Meet with an academic advisor at any campus; attend a START session or log on to Spyglass to register for classes.

8. Pay fees and purchase textbooks

  • Pay your tuition fees through Spyglass, in the cashier’s office, or by mail.
  • Rent or purchase textbooks online or at Milton, Pensacola, or Warrington Campuses.

9. Get Student ID and Decal

  • Bring a copy of your class schedule, vehicle registration, and photo ID to the Public Safety Office on any campus to get your free ID card and parking decal.
