The Visual Arts Department offers the following degrees: Associate of Arts in Studio Art; Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design, Associate of Applied Science in Photography and  Associate of Applied Science in Multimedia.. The Associate of Applied Science in Multimedia has two tracks: Multimedia/Web and  Interactive Media, and Digital Video/Broadcast.  A.A. degrees are usually thought of as the traditional transfer degree to four-year colleges and universities. A.A.S. degrees are also transferable, but generally only to professional art schools.

A number of noted art colleges and institutes such as the Atlanta College of Art, Kansas City Art Institute, Memphis College of Art, Savannah College of Art and Design, Ringling School of Art and Design, and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, visit each year to recruit from our majors. Articulations exist between a number of these, meaning that our graduates enter those institutions as juniors, often on scholarship. Of special note is the unique A.A.S. to B.S. articulation between Pensacola State College and Florida A&M University in Photography.

Department chair, Krist Lien, is available to advise and register students
